there are two documents I can point you to:

and
http://mozilla.org/docs/web-developer/upgrade_2.html.
Both describe how to upgrade your DHTML for the W3C DOM.
You can also look at http://mozilla.org/docs/dom if you want
general info about the DOM in Mozilla/NS6.
