...and why not? IE has a lot of features that were originally from
Netscape, Mosaic and Mozilla. There's not a lot to innovate on in a
plain old web browser after all and Microsoft never innovate (they
probably got the zoom idea from Opera).
As for whether a zoom would be useful then that's a matter of opinion
personally I prefer just being able to enlarge the text, but others
prefer to zoom everything.
