The pre-landing process for my changes in bug 99010 is drawing near
to completion and I have been scheduled for a carpool tomorrow
Thu, Sept 27 (PST).

An earlier post about the changes can be found here:

The tracking bug is:

Since these are foundational changes that are mostly of benefit to
intl layout with the aim of not regressing ASCII documents, much won't
be noticed by users of ASCII documents (except, notably, the fix for
the size of the default fixed-width font, or the support of the CSS2
property |font-size-adjust| on Windows). There are some provisions
for a number of prefs of general benefit (such as the user preferred
font's min-size for example), but these won't be widely discoverable
until the Front-End is hooked up.
