Now I remember what the problem was.

There is only a <BODY> statement and

<div style=position:absolute......>

Nothing else than several

<div style=position:absolute......>

This system is used on all my web sites.

The acutal useable window width is necessary to switsch between
different layouts

When You resize the window in MSIE or Opera 7, the
layout changes also
