I've wondered if Mozilla has such thing (auto-hyphenation support)
"in mind". Where the document/element language is specified the text
layout could benefit from it. The most obvious case is with
justified blocks/paragraphs of text where without hyphenation the
word spacing could leave very large gaps in between. Of course this
could be used in various other places in the application.
It would be nice if there is a public interface for it so
third-parties could easily extend this capability for additional
languages.
I wasn't sure which group is most appropriate so I crossposted this
