I've only observed this in one place: the signature of one person who attends some forums I frequent. What starts out as a single line in her signature is rendered as an utterly vast vertical space, probably equivalent to literally thousands of lines. I looked at the HTML coming back and found nothing noticeably weird. Didn't check style sheets for something there.
