Boris, thank for all your replies ...
What do you mean by "object"?
in this case, I assuming and object means focusable "elements" in the rendered page (sorry if this is not the correct nomenclature and naming).
Do you mean DOM node? If so, this is only sort of the case. What's actually marked focused is a pair of layout object and DOM object.
This one of my doubts: does every thing shown on a page (focusable and non-focusable, text, html form, and so on) has a "corresponding" node in the dom tree related with it ?! Does the layout of an web page is build from data in the dom tree !!?
Hummm ... I got your point of view. This would be a special (and hard) case, but I think if exist two different focusable locations like in this case, aren't they treated as non-related "elements" !?No. I'm saying:
<map name="foo"><area/></map>
<img usemap="#foo" id="one"> <img usemap="#foo" id="two">
Now the user can focus the <area/> element in two different locations on the page (inside image one, and inside image two). Try this out on http://www.slashdot.org if you want -- the little |X| thing at the top right of every slashbox on the right is an image, and they all share as single imagemap.
Cheers and thanks again .
