Probably something called "margin collapsing" is going on here, which
makes IE6 doing this incorrectly and Mozilla/Opera doing it correct.
I guess it should be covered somewhere here:

Yes, in my original post on c.i.w.a.s. I've mentioned this is
probably a "margin collapsing" issue (as it seen from the subject,
too) but I couldn't find if it is really specified for the initial
containing block - it is not said it is a normal block box as for
elements, and if it is, if it has margin, border, etc.
