Hello,
thanks for the replies to my API/Larger work question.
This one is just about a detail in history of these licenses. I do a little
history writing and want to get things straight.
Is it correct, that in a first time Netscape suggested just one license, the
Netscape Public License, and that the MPL was added in response to some
negative critics after a first round of public discussion?
I found just one article telling the history with this detail:
Kreft/Friedman: Open Source Software: Background, Licensing and Practical
Implications. So this is just to double-check...
(of course all this must have been prior to release, since versions 1.0 of
MPL/NPL already show this two license layout)
Could anyone confirm this?
Thanks,
Markus
