Hi, I plan to make my own java library publicly availabe under an open source license. I think I'll choose the SPL to be conform with netbeans.org. Good decision?
Can you encourage people to use this license for java software not directly related to netbeans? I see nothing against it since it's very similar to the MPL which as far as I know is used in all different kinds of applications and has the further advantage that it's easier to conttibute the software to netbeans later, if one wishes. They say that -The Mozilla Public License, -the BSD License, -the Apache Software License, -the GNU Lesser Public License (LGPL), -the Python License, -the IBM Public License and the DynamicJava License are compatible with the SPL. Would it be a good idea then to release the software under all these licenses (multiple-licensed)? Only under some of them? Thanks for your answers. Greets Florian
