Some time ago in this newsgroup, Mitchell and friends discussed various
documentation licenses for mozilla.org -- including a proposed "MDL".
However, that was two years ago. On the mozilla.org licenses page
(http://www.mozilla.org/MPL/ ), the specification of a particular
license for documentation hasn't been posted.

Looking briefly at the messages posted in n.p.m.license, it looks like
this issue was never completely resolved. If I am wrong about that,
please tell me where we can find the current license. If I am not
wrong, let's please figure out the correct license, and soon.
There is none. So I suppose the current official legal situation is that documents are copyright by their respective authors, and people who wish to do anything with them need to ask. I'm not sure how this squares with the automatically-added mozilla.org copyright notice at the bottom of each page.

If you say that this is not particularly satisfactory, you would be correct.
