If I was able to understand the license, I would be posting this question here. Maybe I have a weak grasping?
Please forgive my last answer; it didn't quite convey what I was trying to say. Let me try again.
Please could you read the license, try and understand it to the best of your ability, and then tell us what you think the answers to your questions are, and what part of the license you formed those answers from?
For example, you might say:
"1) Can I make changes to the source code that is under the MPL license?
- I think the answer is yes, because section 2.1 says that the Initial Developer grants me world-wide etc. license to modify, display, perform etc. the code, and section 2.2 says that all Contributors do too. But I'm not sure what the part about "third party intellectual property claims" means."
This is a helpful exercise, for several reasons:
- It gives you greater familiarity with the license of code you are using - It helps us to know which parts of the license are easily misunderstood - It helps us to help you where you've misunderstood it.
Is that a reasonable request?
