I have the same situation, would like to use NetBeans classes (under SPL) on an application. That would be a larger work, I assume. So, as long as a link to the source classes of NetBeans and a notice about the license is in my application, can I release it under any license without infringing the SPL?

I am assuming this is what means by this:

"
3.7. Larger Works.

You may create a Larger Work by combining Covered Code with other code not governed by the terms of this License and distribute the Larger Work as a single product. In such a case, You must make sure the requirements of this License are fulfilled for the Covered Code.

Thanks for your help.

Mitchell is right; I was confusing the SPL and the CDDL. Apologies.

The answer to your question, then, is: read section 3 and let us know what specific questions you have about it.
