no search function for newsgroups

In NS 4.7 the "subscribe" window has 3 tabs -- All, Search,
and New -- and you can find a newsgroup even if you just
know a middle word, e.g. linux.  But in NS 6.0 you get only
the All list, no search function.  There are no other tabs.
At least that the situation in my "subscribe" window.
