My modem dialup connection to my ISP was dropped while I was downloading
- or maybe just as I finished downloading - mail off ISP's (POP) server.
There were about 115 messages, most mailing list messages that were
being moved straight into a Local Mail folder. It seems that all those
messages, when you click on the message in the list, now displays the
wrong message in the bottom pane, as if the indexing in the db for all
the messages received in that d/l got screwed. This affects both
messages that stayed in teh In box and those that were moved into
another folder. Many (all?) of the messages that were pushed into the
other folder actually all point to exactly the same message.
Compacting the folders did nothing. Restarting the app did nothing.
Rebooting did nothing.
Any idea how I can get my messages indexing correctly again? How to you
get the database to rebuild itself?
