I just remember: The information of being a quote *is* there: The quotes 
are all in a <blockquote type=cite>. Its default style is just 
overridden based on the prefs. During copy, the style is not copied, 
i.e. we get the raw <blockquote type=cite again>.

That's how it is. Just that we don't use MailML, but HTML.
