Mailnews only/standalone (req)

Hey,

IMO mailnews is best graphical news/mail program for linux so far, 
though it still has some nasty bugs. Anyway it would be great if it 
could be made standalone, so that browser related libs wouldn't be 
needed. I do not for example have need to view html pages in 
newsgroups/mailboxes (at least feature to disable html in message bodys 
would be great). I think that this way mailnews could be made more 
lighter and faster (?).
