I've seen the .slt directory. What happened with me was that Mozilla was 
just crashing. It just wouldn't start. It was something to do with 
profiles because when I created a new profile it worked. And I noticed 
that the new profile was under a .slt directory. I haven't noticed the 
big hierarchy of .slt directories but I have one .slt directory on my 
machine now.
