change font of mail-news UI

Hi,
          Is it possible to change the fonts of the pane where
the subject/sender/date of the mail/news are displayed?
With high resolution the fonts are too small for me. Maybe
inserting something in prefs.js will do? Is it theme dependent?
I'm currently using Mozilla 0.6 on WinNT [graymodern theme].
