We are having problems with return receipts. When an e-mail arrives where the sender requested a receipt, we click on "OK" to send the receipt, then this message comes up: "An error occurred while sending mail. The mail server responded: (null) Please verify that your email address is correct in your Mail preferences and try again." This has happened at work, in another office of ours, plus at my home - and all of our settings/preferences/etc. are correct and haven't been changed at all. And it only happens when using Netscape (I believe we have ver. 4.75 at work, I have ver. 4.76 at home). I tried Outlook Express and the receipts work fine there. If sending the message from Netscape and requesting a receipt, if the message is opened in Outlook, no message appears requesting return of a receipt (and Outlook is set to ask before sending one). So the request for a receipt doesn't appear to be going out either. I know the return receipts were working with Netscape before Christmas. Could someone shed some light on the error message I'm getting? I'm inclined to believe it is something with my ISP so I'd like as much info as I can get before I call them again.
