Note, be careful when deleting your ~/.mozilla directory. Unlike 4.x,
we store your local mail in that directory. (in 4.x, your local mail on
unix was stored in ~/nsmail). There are other important files that
would be lost if your removed your ~/.mozilla directory, but they are
the same that you would have lost from removing ~/.netscape when using 4.x

Great!

Yes.

There are some features that mozilla has that Netscape 6 doesn't, and
vice versa.

Nothing stops you from creating two profiles, and using one with NS 6
and one with Mozilla.

Note, never run two mozilla based applications against the same profile
at the same time. We don't do any file locking yet, and bad things
happen. There are bugs logged on it, use bugzilla to find them if you
are curious.
