4.x (at least on linux) did this.
Currently, 4.x is much faster than Mozilla.
I think early on in the project, Mozilla did blank out between messages
but we found we could speed up message display by not doing that.
([EMAIL PROTECTED] would know more.)
We are focusing on performance for the next release. Until we are as
fast as 4.x, we shouldn't fix this. When we get message display on par
with 4.x, we could restore this behaviour.
