Messenger 4.7 question-attachments

I've always viewed attached newsgroup pictures inline.  Now, for some
strange reason, they're coming up as attachments that I have to click on
to open a pic viewer.  In the View menu, View Attachments Inline is
checked off (it makes no differrence whether it is or isn't) and the
Application for the JPEG file type is listed as Netscape (Internal).
What's going on?
