Logic error: What would be the meaning of the following checkbox settings?
|
| [/] En_able address auto-completion
| Look for address in the following:
| [ ] Local Address Books
| [ ] Directory Server: "LDAP Server Name" ( Select ... )
Auto-complete by looking for addresses in nothing in particular ...
Instead, I suggest:
|
| When I compose messages, auto-complete addresses:
| (*) _never
| ( ) using my _address books
| ( ) using the "Netcenter" _directory
| ( ) using _both my address books and the directory
| ( _Choose Directory ... )
Also, given that users can only auto-complete using one directory at a
time, and given that they're hardly ever going to switch between
directories (if they were, this UI would be somewhere other than the
prefs), I don't see the point of having a dialog for maintaining a list
of directories. At the very least, the cascade of dialogs seems
Spanish-Inquisition-like:
* From the three-pane, you open the prefs dialog;
- From the prefs dialog, you choose `Address Books';
o From `Address Books', you choose `Edit Directories ...';
+ From `Directory Servers', you choose `Add ...'
