i have a RedHat 6.2 linux box, and upgraded my Netscape Communicator 4.72 to Mozilla M18 3 days ago, using an RPM package from http://developer.eazel.com. it worked fine at the beginning, and i really appreatiate its perfect support for chinese (you know, i am a chinese). but today i found some mails were received but couldn't be seen in Inbox. firstly i thought the messenger didn't get the mails, but when i tail'ed the Inbox file, i found new mails were there, they just wouldn't show up in the UI. i can't figure out what the exact operation is that finally made these mails visible, possibly it was a "touch" to the files under ~/.mozilla and its sub directories. i touch'ed, re-opened messenger, focused Inbox, a progress bar told me messenger is scanning the index of Inbox, and when this done, i saw the mails. btw, firstly i thought something went wrong with my Inbox index file (the .msf file), and searched www.mozilla.org for a technical speci- fication for the format of these files, but failed to find anything. so if anyone of you know where this can be found, please let me know. i am not a subscriber to this list, so please send your replies to me: [EMAIL PROTECTED] at last, if i have just mentioned an already- fixed bug, apologize for my disturbing.
