I expect someones already answered this one, but under linux, the message folders are located in /whereever you installed it normally your home directory/your account name/.mozilla/default/yp5867t3.sit/Mail/
In this diirectory you will find each mail directory for each account you have set up.
By the way, the dot infront of the mozilla means that it is a hidden directory, so you will not see it unless you select the option to allow you to see system directories in your desktop setup options.

I know that in Win9x:

It used to be in Netscape\users50\<userid>\mail
But it is now in \windows\application data\Netscape
or possibly: \windows\appliacation data\mozilla
