All of the builds I've downloaded in the last couple of weeks have had a
serious number of problems with sending or forwarding mail, especially
with attachments. I narrowed one down and filed a bug, but have other
problems as well. I don't see anything on bugzilla that's close to what
I'm experiencing, and have a hard time believing I'm the only one seeing
any of these problems.

There aren't any unexpected error messages that show in the console log
when I have a problem (just the usual chrome://<whatever>.js errors that
I've come to ignore). The only thing I get out of mozilla is *maybe* a
"Sending message failed" alert dialog. Mightly helpful error message,
BTW. A clue as to why would be appreciated :). Before going through the
pains of trying to figure out exactly what kind of messages/attachments
give the problem (not all do), I'd like to know if anybody else sees any
of these with multiple pop dialup accounts (no proxy) in one profile,
all sending through the same smtp server:

- Forwarding or sending to multiple recipients doesn't send,
particularly if attachments are involved. I've had the most problems
forwarding messages that originated from a Novell server.
- "Relay error" messages when sending from one pop address through
another's smtp server. (I got this error twice in the last week or so,
and never saw it in mozilla before this)

I've had to resort to sending almost anything with an attachment using
NS 4.x. :-(

Is part of the problem perhaps my ISP? If so, what kind of data can I
collect from them to help debug these nasty problems. And other than
building mozilla, is there a tool or two on Win98 that might help me
narrow down why messages don't send?

thanks a bunch.
