Yes, this is one good approach, if the normal Sent folder lies on an 
IMAP server. But you have to tell the user, where you stored the msg and 
why.

BTW: You could use the same approach, if SaveAsDraft fails.

This might be a resort, if
- other solutions failed
- you can store exactly the msg that has been sent (incl. msg-id and Date)
- the user knows that he can move the msg from the drafts folder to 
another one without opening it.

This is data-loss and for me a reason to switch mailers.
