Proposal 3 (the 4.x way) looks really ugly, but it is at least visible
enough. The icons in the attachment list looks nice but they don't give
much information. I'm mostly missing the size of the attachment. When
the attachment has to be downloaded from the net (IMAP) I think that can
be essential information for the user.

Amount of information:

2. Proposal 1 and 2 tied
Ease of use (guessing)

3. Proposal 3 (can't save all attachments at once)
