After feeling nearly completed dejected about the whole Mozilla project
for so long, it sure was darn nice to see a ray of serious hope shine
though. What am I talking about? Well, downloaded the latest build on
to my NT box, did all that unzip stuff, then got back into playing with
it. Then I saw a wonderful thing... I could actually scroll the summary
area in Mail/News. Oh sure, I had heard rumors about the fix being
worked on, but it sure was a pleasure to see it in play.

As someone who has done more than my fair share of bitching, moaning,
whining, and general complaining on this group in the past I thought it
only right I should give equal time to the good stuff.

Right now, Mail/News is REALLY starting to look like it's coming
together. Still a bit heavy on mem usage, but it isn't leaking like
crazy anymore. I can scroll about as fast as I could in NS 4.7x. On
top of all that, it sure sounds like we're weeks away from seeing LDAP
hit the nightlies. Sweet!

I'll still be bitching and moaning from every once in a while as time
permits, but it's nice to once again have a bit of hope enter back into
me that I will be able to recommend to everyone in ear shot to UPgrade
their IE installations to Mozilla in the near future. For that, I'd
like to say thanks to all in the trenches pounding out the code.

Later on,
