Hi Folks.
I didn't find a more appropriate NG, so please set a F'UP if I'm wrong...
My Mom (age of 65) is using Netscape 4.73, german on Windows 98 SE. I
didn't upgrade to the latest version, as it is for her more important to
have her environment that she is used to.
So she often writes mail and seems to get along pretty well with it.
But somehow she managed it to rename the "Inbox" folder to "Drafts", and
besides that, she also has a regular "Drafts" folder. I (and neither my
Mom) know how she did that!
But even more astonishing: Everything seems to work fine, though. New mail
arrives in the formerly "Inbox" called folder "Drafts". She can access it
and response to mail etc. The real drafts are stored in the original
"Drafts" folder as well. Nothing is mixed up.
In the filesystem the folder files are named correctly, namely Inbox (with
.snm file), drafts (also with .snm file) and so on.
But to make everything clear, I wanted to rename the formerly called
"Inbox" folder back from "Drafts" again to "Inbox", but there is no way of
renaming it! When I rightclick on the folder, the "Rename" option is
grayed, so I can't use it!
As I lately upgraded my Mom's computer, I backed up all files in the "Mail"
directory and copied them straight away to the new "Mail" directory on the
new computer, after I set up the mail account with Netscape. I thought all
names should then be set back correctly, but they aren't. So the folder
names are somewhat located in the files in the "Mail" directory.
So could somebody tell me, how to rename the mistaken named "Drafts"
folder back to "Inbox"?
Thanx for reading such a long posting and your help!
