It is not unused. I implemented it for only one month ago. When bug
75377 is fixed, I can hook up a UI for it and we can localize it so you
can be able to have this:

rather than simply:

If you use my pref with '2', you can already start using the
date-included version. However, due to localization issues (again, bug
75377) it's always in US date/time format.
