A week or two ago I posted a question about the disappearance of my "Inbox" list and
failure of "get mail" ....... and was completely ignored.
I managed to find the problem but it leads to more questions.
Why does my version of Netscape mail (Netscape 3.04 with the "Welcome" message from
Mozilla dated 13 Dec 1995) not delete the item from the "inbox" file when it copies it
to
the "trash" file? Is there an easy fix - like some option setting that I have not yet
found?
The problem I describe was only cured by going to File Manager and deleting a 9.976Mb
"inbox" file (which I replaced with the only thing I salvaged from it, ie the Mozilla
"welcome" message).
I only use Netscape for mail that has graphics or other things not viewable with this
Lynx/Pine account, so I am not interested in the latest and greatest - just one that
*"deletes"* when I tell it to!
All help appreciated. Thanks in advance.
