Is there a news bug in the nightlies?

I installed the latest nightly a couple nights ago to check the
progress.  When I opened up mail and news all my newsgroup servers were
there but there wasn't any groups in them.  I can't remember where I
looked but some place I looked and all the groups were there.  I can't
remember if it was in preferences or in a file in the news directory. 
Is this a bug  or is somthing else happening?
