HowTo save and reimport all settings when reinstalling system?

Hi.

With Netscape I used to save the User Profiles Folder before I wiped the disk and 
reinstalled windows (as I have to every 2-3 months :-)
After installing windows and Netscape I copied the Profiles Folder back and importet 
it to Netscape by creating a new profile with the same folder name.
I tried the same with Mozilla 0.9.1 but it wouldn't work.
Does anyone know how to do this or where to read up on this?
