Why Unsent Messages aren't editable?

I think in Communicator, if an unsent message is double-clicked, the 
message is opened to edit it, like as it was a draft message. Why in 
Mozilla doesn't happen this? I have searched on Bugzilla to see if 
anyone has reported a bug about this but I didn't find anything.
