I searched the archive but the solution posted doesn't work for me.
I included
user_pref("mail.biff.play_sound", true);
user_pref("mail.biff.sound_file", "c:\\misc\\mysound.wav");
user_pref("mail.biff.use_default_sound", false);
in prefs.js. But it still plays the default sound. I use netscape 4.7
on NT. Did I miss anything?
I don't want to change sound in Control Panel since I use that for
Outlook. Basically I want to have different new mail notification
sounds for netscape mail and Outlook. What's the best working
solution?
Well, the real cool thing will be to have configurable sounds for
different senders, like the name ringer on the cell phone. I'm just
tossing an idea.
