Mail/News doesn't save my login info

I just signed up for an account with Supernews.  Every time I try to 
access their server, I have to present my username/password.  I check 
"Use password manager to save this info", but it doesn't seem to stick. 
  Any thoughts, is there an open bug, or should I file one?
