Pardon me for asking this here. I'm assuming this is more of a
development hashing NG than anything else, so this question could be a
"newbie anonyance," but... Can someone give me a OVERVIEW of how NSM
knows that a message has already been retrieved from a POP3 server, even
if "Leave Messages On Server" is already checked? Are the message IDs
hashed somewhere or something like this? I started going through the
Mail/News code, and there is just a lot there. Perhaps someone could
enlighten me a bit here QUICKLY. I only am looking for the basic idea.

(An email back would be nice since I don't frequent this NG.)

Thanks,
Chris
