Or have the new Mail notification icon piggyback on the -turbo icon if
present (that should be reasonably easy to detect right??) and change
the icon as new mail is identified, or launch a new icon in the system
tray if the -turbo is not active.

Ok, just run a quick test, the mail icon in the bottom left hand corner
(i.e. launch [Navigator] [Mail/News] [Composer] [Address Book]) - when
mail/news is running - changes to include a 'Down' arrow (in Classic
Theme) next to the Mail/News icon to indicate new mail is present.
Obviously this needs mail/news to be running, but wouldn't it be cool
(god i hate that word, but felt it appropriate) to have that
functionality update the Moz icon in the system tray. Possibly having a
cut down version of Mail/News (i.e. the mail checking functionality)
sitting in the background when Navigator is running. This would
obviously require a preferences check box to indicate that the user
wants this additional element of moz to be loaded in the background, but
it would certainly get my vote every time.

ok, hope i ain't lost you all on this one - any comments, further
suggestions or simply lively debate would be welcomed on the subject. If
we want this, we might as well put in a RFE.
