My goal is to be able to present Mozilla to ISP's as a platform for
their service, and along these lines I want to be able to offer a few
things:

account creation and importing
meaning, they go to the webpage to request a userID at whateverisp.com,
when getting that account having Mozilla either create the profile or
just add the account to the current profile automatically. Netscape used
to do this with the netscape server. To add to that, I'd like composer
to be setup to publish to the users webspace automatically.

Chat/IM associated with the ISP's browser
I see Jabber as an ideal way to impliment this using the jabberzilla
application and open jabber servers that co-ordinate with user email
account creation

Online backup and profile storage
I want users to be able to recover all emails, bookmarrks and address
inforamtion if they loose their PC (OS reinstall for example, remote
access to their personal data as another), to offer options above that
like being able to cron tar your /home to the network for safe keeping
on a regular basis.

File sharing in the browser within and outside of the network
possibly package freenet and setup mozilla to have a button to get
into
it. Freenet already has a browser based interface, it's just a matter of
having it available and included as part of the installer

Distributed computing platform
so users could dedicate spare cpu time to each other, while at first
this
might just mean things like a seti client, I'm certain it could grow to
benifit users in other ways. and allow those who want to donate time to
other projects an automated way of doing so (helping map DNA or curing
cancer type stuff.

Customized network configuration tool
meaning a customer could launch the aplication of a CD to not only
install
the MozPlatform, but also to configure the LAN or Dialup link.

Anonymous surfing
Like anonymizer.com, a forgetful proxy to move about on the web from.

Advertisement free personl start page
this is not a common thing among ISP's but a good reason that many
people
will be willing to pay a premium.

To offer all these types of services, I'd have to charge more than other
"regular" isp's10-20$ more a month I imagine, but I'd pay for an ISP
with LINUX SUPPORT and tools to let me use the penguins power. I feel
that offering this ISP as a Cable Modem provider to be an option of
ISP's. Cable modem and DSL networks will allow open access. If anyone
knows of a project along these lines or is interested in further
discussing getting something going, contact me:
