Suggestion to improve newsgroup subscription search

Just my 2c:

Instead of just searching for groups starting with the entered text, it 
would be much nicer to search for groups *containing* the entered text, 
e.g. programmer would match (say)
comp.os.programmer
and
alt.programmer 

Even better, do the same for each word and AND the results so 
e.g."programmer video" would match
comp.os.programmer.video.pc
and
alt.programmer.videogames
