Progressive view of images

I quite often browse newsgroups for pictures of classic cars. One of the 
features of Netscape 4.xx I love is, that I don't have to wait the 
complete message to be downloaded to see the image. This enables me to 
stop downloading as soon as I see, that I'm not intrested in the image. 
Is there any way to make Mozilla to behave the same way? Linked to the 
internet via a 56K modem it saves me some download time.
