I'd like to have drawbacks from other people about the mailer of Mozilla
(Currently using Mozilla 0.9.3 on a SuSE 7.1, kernel 2.4.0).
The problem is that it's VERY slow.
For example, when I am using a folder, and decide to access another one,
it's taking about 4 seconds before giving me its content.
(It's not swapping, just doing nothing !)
I tried on a P2-333, a Celeron 700 and a P3-933: same problem !
The more frustrating is that the windows version (I tried it on a Pc at
work on win2k) doesn't have the same problem.
On this platform, it's "click and display" !
I can't believe the development is done differently on different
platforms, but rather believe that there's a common code, and minor
changes between each version.
For portability, they have to use the same graphical libraries, but I
don't understand why the Linux version is slow.
