Hello!
I am new to Mozilla (0.93) under Linux and I like it, but I have a
serious problem sending messages to (some) newsgroups.
The strange thing is, that I can post to some newsgroups (like
"xs4all.test") but not to other newsgroups (like "nl.test"), and they
are on the same news-server! With Netscape 4.77 I can post to all
newsgroups without problems. I can repeat this problem.
When it goes wrong I see a long time a window with "Posting
message....", after a timeout I get two messages: "sending of message
failed" and "connection to server timed out".
I've tried to install Mozilla as root and use it as a normal user, but
I've also tried it with an normal-user-install (see bug 49397), but it
doesn't help.
I am using IMAP and my "Sent" folder is on a server, but I've also tried
to use a local "Sent" folder, and even restarted Mozilla after that, but
it did not help.
I know that somebody else who also use Mozilla 0.93 and who has the same
internetprovider as I have (connection over ADSL), can post without a
problem in a newsgroup where I cannot post (nl.comp.os.linux.netwerken).
Does somebody know what can be wrong?
