Hm... I'm running 2001081703 now, and don't see the #news folder. I
can't remember when this problem went away for me. (And I don't remember
seeing it since when I first reported the problem and then downloaded a
nightly.)
It may have been fixed for me much earlier than the recent changes by
cavin. Thanks for following up, though.
