There is an old mime type, I think message/external-body, that I tested
in Navigator 3.0 (it worked). The protocols were limited to FTP and
gopher as I recall. If you dig in the RFC's, you can find it. It
probably needs a bit of polishing to be useful these days. In any case,
the mime type allows the message body to be separate.
