It seems to me that the polling of pop3 mailboxes still occurs when the mail client is closed. In this case I only had the web browser left open.
Is it meant to work this way? I just went through this discussion with some working on the quick-launch system (ie: why does Mozilla still check email if only the quick-launch components are loaded/running????), & now I find that the browser will do it too. Can the email specific functionality not be restricted to when it is actually loaded? I've never seen a package of such tools work in this way. sTu.
