I saw this in 0.9.4 (possibly 0.9.2 as well) and it still happens in
0.9.5.
New Message, add a Subject, Address, and an Attachment, but leave the
body empty. Select Send Later. Go to Unsent Messages, click the
message - the attachment is still there. Select Edit As New and the
attachment is missing in the new message in the Composition Window and
there are 4 or 5 garbage characters in the body. The attachment is
really missing, not simply the name missing from the Attachments pane,
I've checked by viewing the message source.
However, if you put something in the body, even a single character,
when composing the original message this problem doesn't occur.
I can consistently reproduce this behaviour on 2 different machines
(both running W2K-SP2).
I tried adding this (tip found in this NG):
user_pref("mail.content_disposition_type", 1);
to prefs.js to stop the attachment being in-line thinking that it
might make a difference, but it doesn't work - the attachment is still
inline and the above problem still occurs.
Has anyone else seen this? Should I report it as a bug?
Regards,
Parish.
