I just went through a nightmare getting my settings back because of a hard drive crash. I didn't need to convert the profile... just have Moz see it and use it in it's current directory.
I have my mail and settings on the d drive instead of having them in ":\windows\application data" I just wanted to tell Moz to look in the d:\mozilla\profile directory. It wouldn't. I had to setup a new profile then hack the hell out of it. I still don't know if I have all of my mail intact. Perhaps there is a generic text file comma delimited format for all mail readers to use? While Moz is installing it can ask you to point to it? Thanks Moz rocks otherwise!
